Richmond's Only Waterfront Bar & Restaurant: The Lilly Pad

This restaurant on the water is bringing the ultimate staycation getaway vibes! ⛵️🐸⛱ Just a 15-20 minute drive south of Richmond, The Lilly Pad Café provides the perfect escape — no plane ticket necessary! 🙅‍♀️✈️ The atmosphere of this place is what made it one-of-a-kind and worth coming back for. It really felt like I was on vacation, watching boats come and go, not to mention a stunning view of the sunset overlooking the Kingsland Marina. 😍

It had an expansive outdoor deck which allowed for adequate social distancing and masks were strictly enforced. We were seated immediately and took pictures of the giant chalkboard menu as we walked to our table.

The food was brought out very quickly but there was an mistake with the cheeseburger my dad ordered. They apologized for their error and got it fixed right away. The crab dip was DELISH as well as my fried catfish sandwich! 🦀🥪 Would definitely recommend them! I really wanted the crab legs but they came with a hefty price so I didn’t try them out this time. 😕 My dad was underwhelmed with the cheeseburger even after it was fixed but my mom and brother said they enjoyed the fried oysters and brick oven pepperoni pizza. 🍔🍟🦪🍕

Overall, my family had a great time trying out The Lilly Pad and can imagine it would be even better on a Saturday night when there is live music! 🎸🎤🥁 Definitely a chill place to hangout with friends or family! More pics of the sunset and restaurant are up on the blog! 🔗
