Was it on purpose that I decided to go to Lewis Ginter’s GardenFest of Lights on the same day as their GardenFest for Fidos? Why yes, yes indeed. 😁🦮 GardenFest at Lewis Ginter is going on for only two more nights (today and tomorrow from 4-10pm) and it’s one of my favorite things to do each New Year. 🌟 There’s plenty to do: admire the more than 1 million lights throughout the garden, check out the model train and 25-foot Christmas Tree, toast s’mores at the fire pit, drink some hot cocoa, and walk through the lights maze! 🎄 GardenFest is perfect for date night or making family memories as well as being the perfect place for photo opps.
When you first arrive, I recommend stopping by the Jingle Bar and getting a hot chocolate or hot apple cider that you can then walk around with to see all the lights. ☕️ There’s even an option to make it boozy! From there, I suggest walking around the lake in a counterclockwise pattern so you don’t miss any of the lights. 🔄
And don’t forget to check out the gift shop before you leave…I found so many cute lil items including a pair of real butterfly wing earrings! 🦋 Advanced timed tickets are required which you can purchase on their website for garden entrance every half hour with the last time slot at 8:30pm. Lewis Ginter’s GardenFest of Lights is a magical time you don’t want to miss! 🎄🥰🚞🍄✨
