Indoor Mini Golf In Downtown Richmond

Went to Hotel Greene a few weeks back for their Halloween Festivities! 🎃🦇⛳️🏌🏽‍♀️ This was my second time coming here and this visit was wayyyy more AWESOME than the first! For anyone who doesn’t know, Hotel Greene was an old John Marshall restaurant that was revamped into a highfalutin’ 13-hole indoor mini golf course, resembling a haunted 18th century European hotel. 🏨 The space had been empty and unwanted for years because it was mostly underground and dark but thankfully Hotel Greene’s owners had the bright idea to put a mini golf course in the middle of downtown Richmond! 💡 The entire building exudes a mysterious, romantic vibe and it’s vintage velvet seating and colossal chandeliers make you feel like you are in an actual hotel of another era. When you first enter, you are offered themed drinks at the bar which you can bring with you on the course.🍸🍷🍹

All the employees were dressed to theme and some of them were actors that walked around the course pretending like they worked at the “hotel”. There was a bellhop and a housekeeper that went about their tasks such as delivering luggage to guests and cleaning rooms while people went about playing mini golf, completely unbothered. 👨🏼‍✈️🧹 The first time I went to Hotel Greene, there were no actors so you can imagine my shock when they started speed walking past me and arguing with each other. 😂

The course itself was so unique and felt like I was playing mini golf in the middle of an actual hotel. 🏨 Some of the hole themes include a hallway, bathroom, and bedroom. 🚪🛏🛁 There are little peepholes along the course where you can peer into small windows and see different scenes. 🖼 At the end, you must try to get your ball up a narrow ramp into a medieval Hellsmouth painting to win a free t-shirt! 🏰👕

All balls and puts are cleaned in between use and tee time reservations are made online. Keep in mind it is 21+ after 5pm so if you have kids, plan to visit on the weekend. Overall, it was a great experience and I def recommend it as a fun daytime family outing or an evening outing for drinks with friends...I only wish the course were longer! 😩⛳️🏌🏽‍♀️
