DC: Call Your Mother Deli

When in DC, you gotta make your way to Call Your Mother Deli! #iykyk



I heard so many good things about it, and now after going for my first time, it’s my new FAVE casual breakfast spot in DC! Most of you have probably heard of Call Your Mother Deli, but if you haven’t, they are a “Jew-ish” deli that is FAMOUS for their bagels and has several locations throughout DC. Their bagels are far from basic…they oil them in honey and then bake them in a wood-fired oven to give the perfect rich flavor! 🍯🔥



Earlier this month, I went to the location in Georgetown which is known for its pretty pink storefront. 🏩



I ordered the The Bacon Sun City which came with all my breakfast favorites: bacon, egg, and cheese. 🥓🍳🧀 Most places don’t put enough cheese in proportion to the amount of bagel and egg, but this deli knocked it out of the park as it was OOZING with cheese. 🤤 Some of their other yummy and popular masterpieces include “Cacio e Pepe Cream Cheese on a Cheddar Bagel” and “Pastrami on Rye”. Also pictured below is The Horizon bagel sandwich with avocado, red onion, jalapeños, and crushed Fritos (yes FRITOS) and the Strawberry Shortcake Iced Latte (pics don’t do it justice)! 🥑🍓😩



When I went, I preordered online so that it would be ready when I got there which was super convenient in avoiding a line and wait time. If you still haven’t been to any of their 4 locations yet, you need to add it to your bucket list ASAP for your next DC trip! After all, what’s life without a go-to breakfast bagel spot?
