Roll your way over to River City Roll this weekend for the perfect spot to watch March Madness with a group! 🎳 I went here for my first time about 3 weeks ago for my brother's birthday celebration and it was TONS of fun! 🥳 If you haven't heard of them, they are basically an upscale, boutique bowling alley that doubles as a restaurant with fancy food!
When you first arrive, they have you fill out a card with your group's names and shoe sizes and then they automatically wire your names into the system and bring your shoes over to your lane so you can start bowling immediately. Once you are in your lane, it feels completely safe to remove your mask since the lane is enclosed by glass separators. We went on a Sunday which is their cheapest rate at $15/lane/hour and shoe rentals were $4.50 each. So for my group of 4, this came out to $12 per person for 2 hours of play time which is very reasonable. 🤑
For food, we tried the truffle fries (the grilled scallion aioli dip is soo good 😋), spicy harissa chicken wings, baby split pizza, and cauliflower tacos. 🍟🍗🍕🌮
The food was average given the price, but the frozen concoctions flight I tried was fantastic! It had a red sangria, blue raz lemonade, apple cider, and spiked frostee flavored frozen drinks and the cider one was definitely the best with the frostee coming in a close second. 🍷🍋🍎🍦
River City Roll also has regular indoor and outdoor dining if you just want to come for the food/drinks. Their patio is even dog-friendly and bringing your pup gets you 10% off your bill! 🐶 The staff was extremely friendly and the service was five stars. I recommend making a reservation when you go, although they do allow walk-ins as well. I definitely want to go back with friends for happy hour (offered six days a week) and to enjoy some free live music events (calendar on website). 🎤🎸🥁 River City Roll really is a bowling alley like no other and gives off the COOLEST grown up vibe!
