The Highly Acclaimed Cabo Fish Taco Makes Its Way From Blacksburg To Richmond

I realize my last 3 food posts have been of tacos…but I can’t say I’m sorry! 😅🌮 A few weeks ago, I checked out Cabo Fish Taco (@cabo.richmond) and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! I heard so many good things about their Blacksburg location that I knew their RVA opening in May was bound to be a success. Cabo Fish Taco is located on the edge of Scott’s Addition facing Broad St and the interior is extremely spacious, modern, and vibrant. I loved the industrial vibe of the restaurant that totally matched its menu focused on west coast style Baja Mexican cuisine!



Now, on to the food:







🌽 Corn Salsa // I’ve never had corn salsa before but the flavor really grew on me. So unique!












🦑 Crispy Calamari // I’m very picky when it comes to calamari and these ones were so soft and tender wrapped in a light and flaky beer batter. Definitely recommend!

🥑 Guacamole // super yummy and I like how you could add your own ingredients to the mix!

🦀 Baja Shrimp & Crab Dip Bites // the crab dip was one of my favorite things I tried…a must order!






🥩 Signature Steak Taco // so many great toppings and just an overall solid taco!

🥙 Shrimp Baja Bowl // the grilled shrimp had so much flavor and the taco bowl was so unique with the squash and other veggies throughout. Pictured here is the mini version but the menu version is much bigger!

🍣 Honey Soy Glazed Salmon Taco // I don't typically order salmon, but these tacos were my FAVORITE thing I tried! The honey wasabi sauce was spectacular in my opinion!









🍹 Skinnyrita // a refreshing and bubbly marg!

🍈 Workman’s Margarita // can’t go wrong with a traditional lime marg









Any of their tacos can be made with corn tortillas so they are totally GF friendly! And with over a dozen taco AND margarita flavors, they are sure to have something for everyone! I highly recommend trying out Cabo Fish Taco for your next Taco Tuesday outing, especially if you are a big fan of seafood like me. The menu items here are truly unique from any other Mexican restaurant I’ve seen in RVA! 🙌 Not only is it great food, but the owners and staff are amazing people that are doing 60 days of giving back to the community for November and December, so definitely be sure to support them!
