Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse: A Carnivore’s Paradise

My family has been going to Ruth’s Chris for Christmas Eve dinner for 5+ years now and it’s one of my favorite holiday traditions! 🏛🎄

The historic location in Midlothian on Huguenot Rd used to be a family farmhouse and then was used as General A.P. Hill’s headquarters and a hospital for Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. The inside is elegant and is the perfect place for a celebration or romantic dinner! They have beautiful décor and a piano where a musician plays in the evening.

I usually order the 11 oz. Filet but this year I decided to try the Ruth’s Classics which included a starter (I got Caesar salad), entrée (I got 6 oz. Filet and King Crab), side (I got creamed spinach), and dessert (classic cheesecake). 🥗🥩🦀🥬🍰 I probably wouldn’t get it again just because I’d rather have a bigger steak lol but it’s a great option for those that want to try a little bit of everything!

My family started out with the barbecued shrimp appetizer which is always DELICIOUS and also got the garlic mashed potatoes side to share for the table.

My dad got the 11 oz. filet which comes on a 500 degree plate sizzling with melted butter! That’s definitely my favorite meal to order from them and I highly recommend it! The creamed spinach is one of their signature side items (also a favorite) so I recommend that as well! 😍🥩

The service at Ruth’s Chris is ALWAYS spectacular and I was happy to see their Covid-19 precautions including self-serve water so there’s less reaching across the table. I promise Ruth’s Chris will be the best steakhouse experience of your life (even better than a Michelin star restaurant)! 🤤🙌
