Rocket Fizz: Candy & Soda Paradise For All Ages

Have you ever seen the iconic Carytown pirate but never actually paid attention to the store it guards? 🏴‍☠️ I hadn't either until recently when I finally visited Rocket Fizz! 🚀🥤



The store is a complete THROWBACK to my childhood with all the candy, soda, and trinkets I could ever DREAM of! Entering Rocket Fizz is like winning a real-life Willy Wonka golden ticket and it is the perfect place for kids and adults alike. I couldn't help but feel giddy with excitement inside the store and my first reaction was "Wow!"



My brother and I got a bunch of unique sodas including flavors like Marshmallow, Pineapple Whip, Blue Cream, Root Beer Float, Cherry Cola, Orange Cream, and Grape. They sell sodas you literally CANNOT buy anywhere else...ever had buffalo wing, ranch dressing, bacon, birthday cake, or peanut butter & jelly flavored soda?! 🍗🥓🎂 And it is all for a reasonable price too at only $8.99 for a make your own six pack. This is the perfect place to find a gag gift for a birthday (barf soda lol 🤮) or even just for the nostalgia of feeling like a kid again. Some of their sodas are refrigerated so you could even pop one open at the store and enjoy a walk down Cary St. As far as candy, they offer an entire wall of taffy, shelves of hard-to-find Asian sweets, and a variety of vintage candies dating back to the 1910s. 🍬🍭🍡



Rocket Fizz is such a retro and quirky place with NOVELTY items, it is sure to bring a smile to your face. Their store hours on Google and the iPhone Maps App are incorrect so I've posted a pic at the end of my post with their CORRECT temporary hours amid the pandemic. I encourage you to give Rocket Fizz sodas and candies a serious tasting and let me know how it goes! 😁
