Lucky Whale: Bringing The Community Together With Asian Fusion

Lucky Whale (@luckywhalerva) is KILLING IT as the new kid on the block! 🍀🐳❤️ This family-owned and run restaurant just recently opened at the end of last year in the Fan (near Shyndigz) and have since been in pursuit of culinary perfection! From sushi to Thai to Indian to hibachi to ramen, Lucky Whale probably has the most DIVERSE menu I've EVER seen from a single restaurant. 🤯 The manager and chef, Eric, told me their mission with having such a wide variety on the menu was to bring different people in the community together...and I say they've done just that! They also sell classic and fruit boba teas and are very excited to soon get their ABC liquor license approved in the upcoming weeks! 🥳

During my visit, I tried the Drunken Noodles as well as two signature items: Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. The drunken noodles with chicken were definitely my favorite, and as quoted by my brother, "These are the best drunken noodles I've ever had!" 😝 I also got the Tiger Milk Tea which was delicious and would 100% order again!🧋👅 They were easily able to make accomodations for me and switch out the beef for chicken in my noodles and make the tea without boba.👌We also tried the 2 Indian options on the menu and my brother and I were pleasantly surprised by how creamy/saucy the curry was and the nice ratio of chicken to curry. Being half Indian myself, the spice level was on the milder side for me, so I’d say this is perfect for those of you who want to try a different cuisine and can't tolerate spicy food. 🌶🔥

Some of Lucky Whale's most popular dishes include the Drunken Noodles and Chef Wong's Chicken so I recommend trying at least one of these on your visit! And if you don't want to dine in, Lucky Whale also offers takeout and delivery. Besides being closed Tuesdays, Lucky Whale is open for lunch and dinner everyday. All the staff was so welcoming, and with it being family-owned, I definitely felt they created a customer-friendly culture! …OH and did I mention they have a pet friendly patio? 🐶
