It breaks my heart a little every time another local business closes 💔 If you haven't heard, @wildcraftfocaccia officially shut its doors on Friday after welcoming us all with open arms in July. I scheduled this post for today, not knowing that it would turn into a goodbye, but I still want to post it [unabridged] to honor the very real impact Wildcraft had on me and the community.

Wildcraft Focaccia Co. is much more than just a café; it is also a bakery that makes house-made sourdough and stunning focaccia ART! 🍞🎨 If you love bread and/or cheese, Wildcraft is right up your alley so keep reading ➡️ On my first visit, I tried the Chicken Parmesan sandwich served on freshly baked focaccia and the Cream of Asparagus soup of the day...both were absolutely delicious!🍗🥪😋
I had to go back a second time to try the Parmesan & Pesto focaccia flatbread which was soooo fluffy on the inside and crispy good on the outside. I love that they give the option for toasted, topped, or loaded toppings depending on how much you want to highlight the bread and can also customize your own flatbread or sandwich with a choice of sauce and all the cheese/veggie/meat toppings you can imagine! I also got the Blueberry Pie which they warm up and serve with whipped cream 🤤
On the bakery side of things, Wildcraft offers catering services and the option to request focaccia art as a special order to celebrate anything from a birthday to a holiday. You want spooky skull bread for Halloween? 💀 They’ll make it! Or flower bouquet focaccia commissioned for an anniversary? 💐 They can do that too! I’m OBSESSED with all their creations and love that all the colors are made with natural ingredients and dyes such as edible flowers and activated charcoal. 🌸 Wildcraft Focaccia Co. prides itself on being environmentally friendly and all of their containers are compostable which I think deserves acknowledgment. 👏♻️ They are also helping the community in other ways like with their stack of voter registration forms and stamps to help increase voter participation AND local artwork for sale around their store. 🗳🖼
All of the staff, but especially the owners, were so kindhearted and generous (i.e. they don’t sit back and make others do the work). I can genuinely picture myself coming back here many times over again and the atmosphere is just PERFECT for getting some work done. Open Thurs-Sun, Wildcraft Focaccia Co. is such a cute and airy spot that is just waiting for you to stop in and say hi!"
