Detroit-Style Pizza: The Pizza You Never Knew You Needed!

This was my first time at People’s Pie and my first time having a Detroit style pizza and I was not disappointed by either! 🍕 Detroit style is like the best version of a pan pizza you can imagine. It is cooked in a rectangular pan so the dough becomes crispy on the outside while the middle remains fluffy. In my opinion, it’s better than a traditional pizza because the cheese goes all the way to the edges so you can still enjoy the crispy and chewy crust. 😍

I got the 10 x 14” El Blanco pizza which was topped with ricotta cream, roasted garlic, 5 cheese blend, basil, and MORE cheese. 🧀🤤 It definitely satisfied my pizza cravings and left me with 2 days worth of leftovers! The only thing I could think of to make it better would be to add more white pizza sauce because some bites got a little dry.



Overall, glad I finally got around to Scott’s Addition to try out People’s Pie’s take on Detroit-style pizza! Now, it’s your turn! 😁🍕
