Barrio Taqueria + Tequila: Home Of The RVA Famous Soft Serve Margaritas

Did someone say SOFT SERVE MARGARITAS?! 🍹🤩 Made it out to Barrio to try the Mango & Lime Twist Marg as well as the Buffalo Cauliflower and Baja Fish tacos! 🥭🍈🌮

The marg was perfect for a hot day and it’s texture was super soft and creamy which made it more appealing to drink (or should I say eat lol). It did get served a bit liquidy and melted much faster once outside so I think a suggestion would be to serve them in frozen glasses to prevent that. I believe the lime is always available but the mango is on a rotating schedule with some other flavors such as raspberry.

I’ve had the carne asada taco from Barrio before so I wanted to try some new tacos this time! Overall, I’d say my rankings in order are buffalo cauliflower 🐃🥦 > Baja fish 🐟 > carne asada 🥩. The fish and cauliflower were equally good in taste but the cauliflower was more unique with the pumpkin seeds so it won me over (and bonus that it is also v/gfo)! 🎃

You can make a reservation for Barrio on OpenTable or they allow walk-ins. There’s still a week left of summer to get this yummy dessert drink...although I’m sure it’ll taste just as good in fall lol 🤣🍹☀️
